There-s a new game in town for busy businesspeople who want to stay fit. The concept of 24 hour fitness has come to Moscow at Planet Fitness Beach Club facility, and will also appear at another one of their soon-to-open clubs on Bolshoi Kislovsky Pereulok.

Some 20 people a night show up to work up a sweat and work off the fat at the Beach Club on Malaya Dmitrovka, many who are actors and pop singers, such as the famous Valeria, who take advantage of the club-s night membership option.

And it s an option not just for special cardholders, but for all who are mmbers of the club. Making fitness accessible to more people was one of the goals of the club.

"I am firmly convinced that the future belongs to fitness clubs affordable to the middle class," said Marianna Maslenikova, general manager of Planet Fitness health club chain.

"Our chain includes a super-elite club on Bolshoi Kislovsky Pereulok which is paneled with marble and a club for lower middle class on Varshavskoye Shosse."

All of the Planet Fitness clubs are western standard, and while only two offer round the clock services, all offer aerobics, weights, saunas, and a variety of services, such as a personal trainers and fitness bars.

However, unlike most international health club chains membership at one club does not automatically include membership at them all.

Owned by the American fitness chain 24 Fitness, Planet Fitness now has five clubs throughout Moscow to serve its clients. It does, however, offer two types of silver and gold memberships for those who do wish to use all facilities. While silver memberships entitle bearholders access to all gyms, gold gives them access to all 24 Fitness clubs worldwide.

There are some challenges, however. The Beach Club, one of the most popular Planet Fitness facilities, can be crowded at peak times, and seemingly filled with too much equipment. But besides traditional aerboics, they have a good variety of classes for clients, including yoga, meditation, karate and Thai-chi.

If you can afford to spend $1,900 a year buy a membership in the chain-s Zolotye Klyuchi (Golden Keys) elite club located at 1a Minskaya Ulitsa. This one has two swimming pools and offers more than 30 kinds of aerobics, including aqua-aerobics, and other kinds of water gymnastics.

The club keeps track of the world-s latest achievements in the sphere of fitness and tries to incorporate them into their own program.

Examples include the Thai-bo program and SPA (sanitas per aquas) relaxation and recreation complex with wholesome baths, mud wrapping, aroma massage, anti-cellulite massage and other health and beauty techniques and procedures.

Children are also not forgotton. The Planet Fitness facilities at Minskaya Ulitsa and Ulitsa Korolenko feature special areas for children.

The Planet Fitness chain charges various membership fees ranging from $365 to $1900. Membership at the Minskaya Ulitsa club also includes unlimited access to the Varshavskoye Shosse club. Joint membership cards are available for the Varshavskoye Shosse + Ulitsa Korolenko and the Varshavskoye Shosse + Malaya Dmitrovka, as well as the Silver Card (all Planet Fitness clubs) and Golden Card (all Planet Fitness clubs + clubs of the 24 Hours Fitness international chain)
