We all feel nostalgic for the comfort of our homelands and the presence of our compatriots from time to time. For the foreigners out there, LifeStyle presents our guide to clubs that seem to always have a large number of expats about.
1. Doug and Marty's Boar House
This place is expat Heaven Ð or expat Hades. they manage to pack the house on a daily basis, whether it's sports fans watching soccer, freeloaders at the weekly party or lonely guys looking for a working girl.
2. Chinese Pilot Dzhao Da
Although the place is named after a Chinese pilot, Western expats are the regular customers here. You can learn Russian here, but never any Chinese.
3. Propaganda
This place is actually known in some places as Moscow's top party venue. And young expats are often noticed here talking with beautiful Muscovites. Often it gets so packed that you'll feel youÕre at a frat party.
4. Karma Bar
Its Sunday night hip-hop parties transport you far away from Moscow, to an international, multiracial place. LifeStyle saw Detsl here!
5. Voodoo Lounge
Take an average American bar, fill it full of dancing Russian girls and you've essentially got Voodoo Lounge. The combination seems to pack Voodoo Lounge full of expats on a regular basis.
6. Hungry Duck
This used to be a must-visit for Moscow newcomers as a sort of excursion: the Kremlin in the morning, the Pushkin Museum in the afternoon and the Hungry Duck at night. None need be visited more than once.
7. Night Flight
When youÕve just gotten paid and have a bunch of money to blow on a one-night stand, there's no better place than Night Flight. Beautiful working girls and a good reputation fill Night Flight nightly with those looking for temporary love.
8. Papa John's
WeÕve never seen anything interesting happen at Papa John's, but we have friends who swear that it's one of the most happening spots in town.
9. Expat
During the day, the club is packed with businessmen from abroad who work in offices located next to the club. However, there are practically no expats at night, something the management is reportedly trying to fix.
10. Sportland
Without a doubt, the best place in Moscow to watch live simulcasts of your favorite teams from back home. The problem is catching a basketball game there before 4 a.m.
