Aristocratic image
The Russian restaurant Sudar has completely overhauled its menu as well as its interior. A beautiful fountain has been switched on in the patio and a gallery of portraits has been opened in one of the rooms. The restaurant's second room is furnished like an aristocratic anteroom, with lots of mirrors and soft lighting. The menu itself now contains almost everything, including brief descriptions of cooking techniques.

New pub menu
The beer restaurant William Bass has added a number of new dishes to its menu, including main courses, hot starters and two varieties of unfiltered beer. Among the new dishes, definitely check out the superb-tasting veal medallions and squid in beer sauce.

Georgian addition
Teatron, a new Georgian restaurant, has opened on the former premises of the KATiK restaurant. In addition to a beautiful interior and a lavish buffet, Teatron features the famous Georgian satsivi, lobio, eggplant and other vegetables baked with nuts, dolma, kharcho chakhokhbili and every conceivable variety of shashlik. Of course, potent Georgian wines are available in clay jugs to wash all these delicacies down.

Classical coffee
Moscow's coffee craze has engulfed one of its hallowed institutions, the Moscow Conservatory. A second cafe, Cofemania, has opened in the temple of classical music. Unlike the first one, the new cafe operates its own bakery and offers cakes freshly baked on-site. Needless to say, coffee goes well with classical music.

Korean karaoke
A new Korean karaoke bar, An San, opened a month ago, featuring only VIP rooms. There are six rooms that accommodate six people each, a room for 25 and a room for 10. An San has a high-tech interior design, with steel-gray predominating. The menu includes Korean-style dumplings, Korean-style shashlik, Korean-style squid and fried meat with vegetables. To warm up your vocal cords, they offer traditional drinks, such as B-52s, margaritas and absinthe.
