DJ name: Sapronov

Real name: Nikolai Sapronov

Brief life story: Best known as a radio DJ and host of the Evropa Plus radio program "Prezent," Sapronov has worked with the station since 2000. He made his radio debut back in the mid-1990s, when now-defunct Radio 101 opened an outlet in his hometown of Voronezh. Sapronov passed the test, and plunged in to fill the station's airtime. He tried almost everything from request programs and live morning contests to nightly talk shows on alternative music and a joint project with a young Protestant organization. In the summer of 1999, Sapronov began work at Radio 101 Moscow, from which he made his way to Evropa Plus. He started DJing back at school and continued during his university years, where he spun records at parties. His first nightclub experience was only a year-and-a-half ago - only because he had been too busy with his work at the radio earlier. He then decided to show the club world what he had been doing since 1997 at various private parties. Over the last 18 months, he has spun records at Press Cafe, People and Super Pooper.
