
Russian oligarchs daughter wooed by billionaire Abramovich
Alsou Safina, the pop diva and daughter of Ralif Safin, the Altai regional senator and former LUKoil vice president, has reportedly received a very attractive proposal from Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich to sing a few songs before each Chelsea home game. If the deal goes through, Alsou who hit the international limelight by coming second at the Eurovisions 2000 songs competition, and more popularly known at home as "the oligarchs daughter" will be earning about $20,000 per game.
Glittering Friskie in hospital for revitalization
Zhanna Friske, a sexy pop singer cum TV & Movie star, has checked into one of Moscows elite clinics for revitalization ahead of another reality show, local papers said. The move followed a proposal she had received from producers of the Last Hero, the Russian version of the UKs Survivor reality, to take part in their next show. Friske took part in the previous version, which required participants to undergo certain strenuous tasks, and therefore, she has decided to reinvigorate herself before the program kicks off later this year.
Friske started her career in the all-girl band Blestyashiye, a Russian word that can be literally translated as shiny or glittering, but later left the group to solo. Just recently, she starred as a gorgeous female vampire in Nochnoi Dozor, the Night Watch, the latest Russian blockbuster to hit the nations cinema halls this summer.
"Nuded" Myskina sues GQ and Medved for $8 million
Famous Russian tennis star and Roland Garros 2004 winner Anastasia Myskina, 22, has filed a legal suit with a New York court against mens magazine GQ, and photographer Mark Seliger, for a breach of contract and publishing her nude pictures without due permission. The GQ article with Myskinas picture was published in October 2002 and was illustrated with a picture where Myskina was fully dressed. However, Russian mens magazine Medved later published two topless photos of Myskina taken by Seliger for GQ in its July-August 2004 edition. She is asking for $8 million in compensation for the moral damage.
